Coming from a career as a ballet dancer, Sarah has worked with The Australian Ballet Company, The West Australian Ballet Company and The Queensland Ballet Company. Sarah was first introduced to Pilates at age 9 to help enhance her dance strength and technique. By the age of 15, it had become quite clear to Sarah that the great benefits of the Pilates method were the key to keeping her in peak condition and injury free. Pilates became a daily routine for Sarah as a full time dance student at The Australian Ballet School and throughout her professional ballet career.

During her time at the Australian Ballet School, Sarah became interested in anatomy and human movement sciences that once retiring from ballet, lead her to complete a comprehensive Pilates training and apprenticeship program in 2004. Throughout her years of teaching, Sarah has completed further training through Pilates International and Polestar Pilates. Sarah completed her Diploma in Professional Pilates through Polestar Education in 2010, and holds an Advanced Diploma of Dance and a Graduate Diploma in Classical Ballet.

She believes attending regular courses, workshops and conferences vital to continuing her knowledge and understanding the Pilates method.

Sarah loves using her dance background to help clients enjoy movement and empower them to take back control of their own bodies and injuries. Sarah has a keen interest in women’s health; in particular prenatal and postpartum care.

When not in the studio, Sarah can be found by the bay spending time with her young family, entertaining friends or relaxing with an interior design magazine.
